Clinical newborn care, delivered at home
Not a night nanny. A NICU-trained registered nurse.
Most ‘night nurses’ and ‘baby nurses’ have no medical training at all. I am different. I am a licensed pediatric and neonatal nurse and lactation consultant with over 15 years of hospital-level experience across the NICU, PICU, and private homes. I do not just follow a plan, I design one around your baby, using evidence-based care delivered with calm and precision in your home.

What families say
“As a pediatrician, I’m very selective about who cares for my children, and Ulisses exceeded every expectation. His medical expertise, reliability, and warmth as a newborn care specialist made him extraordinary. He kept our daughters safe, sleep trained, and thriving with calm professionalism and love.”
Dr. Tiffany & Patrick, Washington, DC
“After months of sleepless nights with our twins, Ulisses brought calm back into our home. His intuitive, evidence-based approach had both babies self-soothing and sleeping 12 hours a night in under four weeks. Just as importantly, he guided us as parents, giving us the confidence, structure, and peace we desperately needed.”
The “Twinnels”
“As first-time same-sex parents through surrogacy, we were nervous and unprepared for what life with a newborn would be like. Ulisses guided us from setting up the nursery to confidently caring for our son. His intuition, compassion, and deep medical knowledge turned our early uncertainty into confidence and joy.”
Eric & Clay, New York, NY

How it works
The journey begins before your baby arrives. Starting around the second trimester, we connect for a prenatal consultation to build a custom care plan tailored to your family’s needs, preferences, and anticipated challenges. This early conversation is where we establish rhythms, set expectations, and make sure you feel prepared and supported long before the first contraction.
From there, care is delivered directly by Ulisses, in your home, on your schedule, and always aligned with your baby’s evolving rhythms. No agencies, no handoffs, no strangers at the door. Every visit builds on the last, creating a continuous thread of clinical knowledge and personal familiarity that no agency model can replicate.
Most families begin with a prenatal consultation and move into in-home newborn care during the first days or weeks after birth. Support can extend through the fourth trimester and beyond, depending on your needs. The goal is always the same: a calm, confident family and a thriving baby.
The philosophy behind this care is mapped in the Ulisses Method: 12 trials of the newborn season, and a clear answer to each.

Questions families ask
Do you offer overnight newborn care?
Yes. Overnight care is one of the most requested services, and it can be combined with daytime visits or lactation support as your needs change.
What areas do you serve?
Families across San Francisco, Marin, Oakland, and the greater Bay Area. Travel arrangements outside the region can be discussed.
How far in advance should I book?
Most families reach out during the second trimester for a prenatal consultation, but support can also begin after birth. If your baby is already here, reach out anyway; availability varies.
How much does it cost?
Every family’s needs are different, so care plans and rates are tailored during your free 15-minute consultation. No preset packages, no paying for hours you don’t need.
Are you actually a nurse?
Yes. A licensed pediatric and neonatal registered nurse and lactation consultant with over 15 years of NICU, PICU, and in-home experience, TrustLine certified.
