Simplicity is the key
The Minimalist Baby was built on a simple idea: clarity changes everything.
We remove the noise around newborn care—so intuition can return, connection can deepen, and each moment can be met with calm and intention.
The founder
Ulisses is a Brazilian-born pediatric and neonatal nurse with over 15 years of experience in NICU, CVICU, and private-home newborn care across New York and California.
Through The Minimalist Baby, he brings hospital-level expertise into the home—guiding families with clarity, structure, and calm.
Now based in the San Francisco Bay Area, he works closely with families in their earliest months, supporting sleep, feeding, and the transition into parenthood with quiet precision..

Three pillars guide our work
Our approach is shaped by three principles: minimalism, intuition, and psychoanalysis.
Minimalism brings clarity.
Intuition restores trust.
Psychoanalysis offers understanding.
Together, they create a refined approach to newborn care—quiet, intentional, and aligned with your baby’s natural rhythm.

Calm and confidence
Inspired by the work of Donald Winnicott and Esther Bick, our approach values attunement over perfection and observation over assumption.
We focus on understanding the baby as they are—supporting parents in building a calm, confident connection from the very beginning..

Simplifying baby care and empowering every family
We offer a clear, considered approach to the early months—removing what isn’t essential and focusing on what truly supports your baby.
From sleep and feeding to daily rhythms, our work brings structure, clarity, and calm—so you can move through this stage with confidence and ease.

Families using surrogacy
Simplicity does not mean lack of structure
